Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Kyle Montgomery
Kyle Montgomery

Scott Bohlman three-bet to 28,000 out of the big blind and Kyle Montgomery called on the button. The flop came Q87 and Bohlman bet the pot, Montgomery jammed for 133,000 and Bohlman called with the superior stack.

Kyle Montgomery: AJ102
Scott Bohlman: AK42

Both had diamond draws and the nut low draw while Montgomery had a gutshot to go with it. The 9 turn gave Montgomery the jack-high straight and the 9 river ensured the entire pot.

Negreanu Fires the River

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A small pot was brewing between Ben Lamb, Stephen Chidwick and Daniel Negreanu on the 10K106Q runout.

Lamb checked in the small blind, as did Chidwick in the big blind. Negreanu took a moment before sliding out a bet of 18,000.

Lamb and Chidwick both folded, with Lamb remarking that was "the only river he wasn't calling" as Negreanu added to his stack.

Morozovs Wins "Jackpot Hand"; Hoening Earns Three Quarters Off Josephy

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Mihails Morozovs

"Jackpot hand, wow ... so sick," Mike Matusow said when an all-in contest unfolded on his table. Mihails Morozovs was up against Eric Rabl and both had near identical stacks in the middle.

The reason for the outburst of Matusow was rather simple, as two one-outers happened during the hand itself.

Morozovs was in there with the A544 against the AAJ6 of Rabl and flopped fours full of deuces on 422. The case ace came with the A turn but the 4 river gave Morozovs quads fours for the scoop.

Soon after on the same table, Cliff Josephy got it in for piles against Ryan Hoenig with the latter at risk for 183,000 on the K63 flop.

Ryan Hoenig: A842
Cliff Josephy: AAQ2

Josephy was ahead with his aces while both had the nut low draw but the 7 turn improved Hoenig to a flush, the 7 river completed the low and ensured three-quarters for Hoenig.

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Phil Ivey: 10643
Patrick Leonard: A764

The board completed with the 5 turn and J river for Leonard to claim three-quarters with the nut straight and superior low. Ivey got a quarter with his identical nut straight (six-high) was left short. Johnston bowed out soon after.

All of the chips were in the middle in a three-way battle between Patrick Leonard, Marco Johnson and Ren Lin.

Marco Johnson: A532
Patrick Leonard: A10103
Ren Lin: AK74

Johnson could not make a low on the 410779 runout and was eliminated, while Leonard's full house took down the pot to send his stack in the right direction.

"Too much gamble, no future" said Lin as he counted his remaining chips.

Chidwick Leaves Lamb Shorter

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

With 42,000 total out in front to the K85Q2 river, Ben Lamb checked out of the small blind. Fellow late entrant Stephen Chidwick then bet the pot from the big blind and that sent Lamb into the tank. He eventually folded and left himself with ten blinds behind.

Siegel Says Pot

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The action was three-way to the flop of A5Q, with Bart Hanson checking in the small blind. Jordan Siegel followed with a check in the big blind before Dan Shak tapped the table in late position.

Hanson led out for 7,000 on the 10 turn before Siegel raised the pot to 31,000, representing most of his remaining stack.

Shak got out of the way, with Hanson quickly folding as well to give Siegel a boost.

Martini Chops With Wilson

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Three ways to the 987 flop, Taylor Wilson checked out of the small blind and Julien Martini bet 9,000. Quentin Krueger folded on the button and Wilson then check-raised to 30,500. Martini raised the pot and called when Wilson jammed.

Taylor Wilson: J1043
Julien Martini: AJ105

"Do you have a low?" Wilson asked before they had rolled over the cards and both had low draws to go with their flopped nut straight. The Q turn and J river changed nothing and it was a straight chop.

"If I know you have jack, ten, four, three," I would never do that," Martini said with a dry smile on the face. He escaped from a potentially costly setback and retained his profit for the day.
