Volpe Chops With Holley

John Holley raised to 25,000 in the hijack and was called by Paul Volpe in the small blind, Michael Banducci defended the big blind. The 962 flop saw Volpe bet the pot and Banducci folded with a short stack behind, Holley just called.

They got it in on the A turn and flipped them over.

Negreanu Calls for a Quarter

With the action four ways to the turn on a board showing 6959, Daniel Negreanu fired a bet of 65,000. Randen Honigman was the only caller to the 3 river.

Negreanu led out for 125,000, only to see Honigman announce all in for 365,000.

Negreanu took a few minutes considering his opponent's hand strength, arriving on a call and revealing A754 for straight.

Honigman turned over A742 for a matching straight with an ace-deuce low to claim three quarters of the pot.

Kamel and Deutsch in the Lead; Sheaves Doubles

Hassan Kamel and Stephen Deutsch had won three quarters of large pots to boost their big stacks, the latter of which came at the expense of Vladimir Belekhov.

Deutsch then aimed to knock out Warren Sheaves, who got it in for 102,000 total on the button after the AK3 flop.

"I have two chances, one online and the other here that I am about to win," Paul Volpe mentioned in table chat while he was all-in for 67,000 post flop against Michael Banducci on a 993 flop. He was focused on the phone for the online bracelet event as he chatted away with Daniel Negreanu and Banducci then tank-called from one seat over.

Tight Fold From Hellmuth; Seat Open for Nguyen

Phil Hellmuth had limped in and Anton Smirnov checked out of the big blind. On a flop of Q84, Smirnov checked and Hellmuth bet 20,000. Smirnov check-raised the pot and Hellmuth shot out of his seat in disgust, then talked himself into a tight fold as he mentioned to have had aces without diamonds and a low draw.

"I am sure you are drawing dead," he even told Smirnov, who glanced at his cards and flashed the 44 for a set.

Soon after on the same table, Ky Nguyen was all in blind with a severe short stack of just 12,000 and Vincas Tamasauskas also got his short but covering stack into the middle.

Ramos Eliminated by Yu

In multi-way action, Felipe Ramos had left 5,000 chips behind and ultimately got isolated by Ben Yu on a board of QJ7Q3.

Ramos' A732 was no good as the AKQ4 of Yu for trips queens won the pot to eliminate Ramos.
