David Hu Eliminated in 2nd Place ($106,138)
Level 34
: Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
David Hu raised from the button to 1,500,000 and Thomas Skaggs called to see the 9♠2♣3♣ flop.
Skaggs checked, and Hu bet out 3,500,000. Skaggs paused before he announced pot, totaling a 14,000,000 chip raise. Hu called off his stack, and both players were headed to a runout with Hu at risk and a bracelet on the line.
David Hu: A♥A♠Q♠4♣
Thomas Skaggs: 9♥8♣5♥4♥
Hu was ahead but had a lot of outs to dodge, and when the 9♦ hit the turn, Hu was suddenly second best headed to the river.
The K♦ offered no improvement for Hu, leaving him with no option but to exit the tournament area in second place for $106,138.
