Furth Applies the Pressure

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Nacho Barbero called from the hijack, as did the player in the cutoff. Caleb Furth raised from under the gun and both players called.

The flop came down AKQ. Action was checked to the cutoff who bet 12,000. Furth declared all in for 34,400.

Barbero folded and the player in the cutoff went into the tank. After roughly two minutes the clock was called and when the countdown got inside the final five seconds, the cutoff decided to fold.

Tchapmi Gets Two Bouties; Seidel Eliminated

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Three players were all in preflop, ready to spin the wheel for a massive pot.

Erik Seidel: AKQ5
Middle Position: AJ78
Lyne Tchapmi: AAJ5

Tchapmi was ahead with aces but plenty can happen from the flop to the river.

The dealer rolled out 1037, giving the player in middle position a straight draw. The turn peeled the 2 and when the river came the 6. This awarded Tchapmi a massive pot and a few needles from the other players, as she took her time thinking about what to do with her aces preflop.

Seidel still has a re-entry available but only time will tell if we ssee him back in the field.

Brehme Wins Another One

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

David Brehme raised to 3,000 from the cutoff and got called by both the small and big blind to bring out a 69J flop.

All three players checked to bring the 6 out on the turn.

The player in the small blind decided to lead with a bet of 3,000. The big blind folded but Brehme came along to see the 6 fall on the river.

Action checked through to showdown and the small blind turned up the A1083 which was no good versus the AJ75 of Brehme.

Negreanu Controls the Pot

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a turn reading J5J2, the player in early position checked and Daniel Negreanu placed a bet of 12,000. After some deliberation, his opponent made a call.

The river fell the 4 and both players checked, to which Negreanu said, "I'm good, I got it." and his opponent responded "Fives?". A good read as Negreanu tabled 559Q, awarding him the pot.
