Martin Jacobson raised from early position and Qing Liu moved all-in from the small blind, with Jacobson making the quick call.

Qing Liu: 33
Martin Jacobson: AK

Jacobson out-flopped Liu on the 9A9 board and Liu would head to the rail after being unable to catch up on the 2 turn or the 5 river.

Ace From Space Keeps Torres Alive

Level 30 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Louie Torres

Jason James had won the previous two pots with all-in shoves before he moved all in again from the cutoff. Louie Torres snap-called for 1,500,000 on the button and the blinds both got out of the way.

Louie Torres: AK
Jason James: 22

James remained in front as the board came 45Q6 as Torres was already standing up from his seat preparing to make his exit. The river, though, brought the A to keep him alive in the tournament.

"Push or fold. The strategy hasn't failed yet. Hopefully, everybody gets knocked out before me," Torres said as he sat back down.

Kysar Gets Paid on the River

Level 30 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Jose Nadal raised to 320,000 from early position and Thomas Kysar called in the big blind.

Both players checked the 7K5 flop before Kysar led out for 400,000 on the 6 turn. Nadal called and they saw the 8 fall on the river.

Kysar then fired out another 1,200,000 and Nadal quickly called. Kysar turned over 109 for the rivered straight as he took the big pot.

Anderson Survives With a Chop

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

An entire orbit had gone by without a pot going to the flop before action folded to Francis Anderson in the small blind who shoved all in for 1,500,000. Jimmy Setna snap-called to put him at risk.

Francis Anderson: K3
Jimmy Setna: K5

Anderson was dominated but the 7JQ flop made a chop a distinct possibility. The 8 appeared on the turn and the two players were already taking back their bets by the time the A fell on the river.

Ventura Applying Pressure

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Leonid Yanovski capped a raise to 600,000 with his card protector rock from the hijack and the rest of the table quickly folded. Diego Ventura then moved all in from the button and the blinds quickly got out of the way. The next hand, Francis Anderson shoved for 1,100,000 in the cutoff and received no action.

Thomas Kysar then raised to 400,000 and Ventura called in middle positon, as did Louie Torres in the big blind. The flop came A74 and action checked to Ventura who took the pot with a bet of 375,000.
