Chen Out-Pips Opponent

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Guo Liang Chen bet 1,100 from the cutoff and was raised by the small blind for 3,000. Vanessa Kade in the big blind made the call, as did Chen.

The flop came Q52 and the small blind bet 2,000. Kade made the call but Chen raised it to 6,500 which got a call from the small blind and Kade folded.

Both players checked to showdown after the A9 completed the board and Chen tabled KQ whose pair of queens and king kicker beat the small blind's QJ pair of queens with jack kicker.

Knapp Grabs a Double Up

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

With 9,700 in the middle at the turn with the board reading 10723, Anastasia Knapp bet 4,000 from the big blind and was called by the hijack.

The Q completed the board and Knapp moved all in for 8,500, just as a friend was passing by and asked them to hold up and wait. The hijack called quickly and Knapp tabled 107 for the flopped two pair. The hijack flashed KK and said "I nearly folded after that speech!"

The very next hand Knapp picked up another pot and is now double the starting stack.

Small Pot for Fernandez

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Leo Fernandez raised to 1,000 in early position and the player next to him sent all in for his last chip worth 500. It folded to the big blind who called to create a side pot.

The flop gave 10J5 and the two active players checked to see a 2 on the turn. The big blind check-called Fernandez this time for 2,000.

A 8 on the river went check-check. Fernandez took the main pot with A5 while the big blind held 62 and the short stack tripled up with K8.
