Niceta Flops Top Set and Gets Paid
Level 3
: Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Lily Kiletto opened to 1,200 from early positon and Michael Niceta called next to act, followed by the small blind the big blind.
The dealer spread a flop of J♦8♠4♠ and the binds checked before Kiletto continued with a bet of 2,200. All three players made the call.
The 7♥ fell on the turn and the blinds checked, as did Kiletto before Niceta fired a bet of 5,500. This time only the big blind check-called.
When the Q♦ hit the river, the big blind checked and Niceta kept his foot on the gas with a bet of 12,000. His opponent tanked for about 20 seconds and tossed in the call to see the bad news as Niceta tabled J♥J♠ for top set on the flop.
