Sternberg Gets Value with Top Pair
Level 6
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Pavlin Karakikov checked to Alan Sternberg on the K♠8♦3♠Q♣ turn before he bet 5,500 into the pot of about 8,500. Karakikov thought about it for a few seconds and made the call.
The 9♣ completed the board and Karakikov check-called once again, this time the bet was 12,000. Sternberg rolled over A♠K♣ for top pair top-kicker and Karakikov mucked his hand.
