Picking up the action on the river, Matthew Adams in the big blind was involved in a hand with Thomas McCartney in middle position. With the board reading 9♦J♣K♦2♣K♠ and over 200,000 already in the middle, Adams pushed forward a bet of 185,000. That did not appear to sit too well with McCartney who told the table "I flopped the nuts, I've got queen-ten." After only a minute or two, McCartney open folded Qx10x but was shown the bad news after Adams flipped over A♠10♥ for the stone cold bluff. McCartney managed a "nice hand" as he saw a massive pot shipped towards his opponent.
