Moure Triples Against Aces; Hall Folds Kings Preflop
PokerNews was waved over as a huge hand was unfolding:
After an open to 12,000 from the player in middle position, Jose Moure moved all in for 62,000 and Kalidou Sow made the call. Then Zachary Hall re-raised to 175,000 and the action folded back around to Sow who then back-raised all-in, covering Hall.
Hall then went into the tank for over a minute but eventually shook his head and folded K♥K♠ face-up and the table let out a collective gasp.
The cards were then tabled, with Moure at risk.
Jose Moure: A♥10♥
Kalidou Sow: A♦A♠
"Wow!"
"What a fold!" several players around the table congratulated Hall on his stellar fold as the flop came out 8♠6♥Q♥ with Sow still in the lead.
Miraculously, the board ran out 9♦J♠ to give Moure a straight on the river to stay alive with a big triple-up while Sow just shook his head.
