Joshua Payne opened to 40,000 with the A♥A♣, picking up a call by Kyle Cartwright in the big blind with the K♦9♥. On a K♥5♠2♦ flop, Cartwright opted to check-call for 35,000 and checked again the 10♥ on the turn.
Payne fired a second barrel for 105,000 and received a call by Cartwright, who then improved with the 9♠ river. Cartwright now checked and Payne bet for 325,000 as his opponent vaulted out of the chair.
Cartwright shook his head but called after a minute for Payne to announce aces, as Cartwright shook his head.
"Is that no good?" Payne inquired and was then instantly shown the bad news.
