Peppin Celebrates Before It's Over
Level 23
: Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Stephen Peppin was down to around 10 big blinds and shoved all in from middle position. Nathan Paytas was next to act and asked for a count before making the call. The rest of the table folded and the two hands were face up.
Stephen Peppin: Q♥Q♦
Nathan Paytas: K♥K♦
Not only did Paytas have the better of the two pairs, but he also had both of the suits covered. The flop came J♣10♠4♦ and Paytas was still in the lead. The Q♠ rolled off on the turn and Peppin clapped his hands to celebrate his set of queens. However, the A♣ hit the river and Paytas made a straight to eliminate Peppin.
