Lewis, Joshi Chop One Up
Level 28
: Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Sachin Joshi opened to 280,000 from the cutoff and Toby Lewis defended his big blind.
Lewis checked on the J♣8♦Q♣ flop and then called after Joshi continued for 250,000.
The A♦ turn saw Lewis check for a second time, prompting Joshi to bet again, this time making it a much heftier 810,000 to call. Undeterred, Lewis flatted.
Both players checked on the 6♦ river and Joshi turned over 10♠8♠ for the lone pair of eights. Lewis had the same pair holding 9♣8♣ and, with Joshi's kicker not playing, the two chopped up a sizable pot.
