As recounted to PokerNews by the players at the table, Carlos Leiva raised from the hijack to 3,500, finding Qui Nguyen in the small blind who three-bet to 10,000. Leiva called.
The flop came J♥9♥8x, prompting Nguyen to check. Leiva bet out for 13,000 and Nguyen shoved all in for his remaining 101,000. Leiva called.

The board ran out clean for Leiva's two-pair ending Nguyen's main event run.
Three players saw the turn of Q♣8♣6♥10♥, creating a pot of about 40,000. John Cynn was the first to act and fired a bet of 22,000. Both Wayne Nicholsen on his left and the player in position made the call.
When the 3♣ completed the board, Cynn continued to barrel with a bet of 32,000. Nicholsen instantly called and the player behind put his cards in the muck.
Cynn tabled 8♥8♦ for a set of eights and Nicholsen showed his two pair, tabling Q♦10♦.
Action was picked up on the turn with the board reading 9♥7♣6♣2♦ and a sizable pot already brewing. A player in early position bet 12,000 and Robert Mizrachi made the call from the hijack. A player on the button raised to 42,000 and the early position player called for less, putting himself all in and at risk.
Action was back on Mizrachi, who moved all in for 109,500 sending the player on the button, who slightly covered Mizrachi, deep into the tank. After about a minute the button made the call to put both of his opponents at risk.

In what can only be described as a cooler, the button had flopped a set, the early position player had flopped the nut-flush draw and Mizrachi had flopped a straight with a redraw to a straight flush. The river was the 8♠, and Mizrachi's ten-high straight was enough to secure a colossal triple up, eliminating one opponent and catapulting Mizrachi near the top of the counts in the process.
Irene Carey had turned her 188,000 to start the day into a stack of nearly 300,000 when she got involved in a hand against Gerald Siemienas.
With 15,000 chips already in the pot on a flop 4♣K♦8♠, she led out for 4,500 from under the gun and Sieminis made the call. Carey then slowed down on the Q♠ turn and check-called an 8,000 bet from Siemienas instead.
On the 7♣ river, Carey retook the initiative and bet a whopping 27,500. This was enough to let Siemienas fold and Carey raked in another pot as her Day 2 keeps going swimmingly.
Maurice Hawkins had been stacking up further chips and the TV crew as well as players at the table and the rail confirmed a double-elimination.
The table was supposed to head to the feature stage but Brandon Mincher as well as David Martin won't get there.
On a three-way flop of J♦10♦9♦, Martin bet and Hawkins raised to 30,000. Mincher then jammed and Martin called all-in, Hawkins called both of them.

The A♠ turn and 8♣ river changed nothing as Hawkins chipped up even further.
Andrew Neeme had jammed all in from the big blind on a completed board of 3♠3♥2♥6♥8♣, with around 65,000 chips already in the middle. The bet totaled 49,500 and Pierpaola Lamanna made the call from under the gun.
Neeme showed Q♥9♥ for the flush and Lamanna mucked his cards.
Meanwhile, Chris Hunichen and Jesse Lonis have returned from their trip to the featured tables.
Jason Mercier raised 4,000 in the cutoff and Dean Sanderson called in the small blind.
"Round seven," joked Mercier as the dealer fanned a flop of Q♦8♥3♦.
Sanderson check-called a bet of 5,000 and the 4♣ hit the turn.
Sanderson checked once more before Mercier fired a bet of 16,000, and that was enough for Sanderson to give it up.
Three ways to the 10♣6♠3♠ flop, Stephen Chimelski from middle position raised to 19,000 and Nicholas Rigby then jammed on the button. Davis Modans called all-in for 50,000 from under the gun and Chimelski followed suit for the 116,000 he had at his disposal to create a three-way all-in on the main feature table.

The 2♦ turn was a blank but the 5♠ river improved Rigby to a flush, knocking out two opponents.
A player in the hijack opened to 6,000 and John Cynn called on the button.
The flop came 9♣3♠6♥ and the hijack fired a continuation bet for 7,000. Cynn made the call.
The hijack slowed down with a check on the 8♠ turn. Cynn bet 8,500 and his opponent quickly folded.
The very next hand at the same table, a player in middle position opened to 4,500 and received calls from John Cynn in the cutoff as well as both the blinds.
Action checked around to Cynn, who opted to bet 7,500 on the 10♠4♠2♥ flop. The blinds got out of the way and the original raiser made the call.
The original raiser checked on the 9♠ turn and Cynn fired a second barrel for 14,000, forcing a fold from his opponent to take down another decent pot.
Recelent bracelet winner Sam Soverel is one of the latest players to join the Red section in the final stretch of the day. After a raise from early position, the cutoff called and so did Soverel on the button. The big blind followed suit as well and a flop of 4♦3♦6♣ was seen four-way.
The big blind checked before early position bet out 5,000. The cutoff called but Soverel raised it up to 17,000. The big blind then folded and, after a quick pause, the two players who had put money in the pot followed as well, letting out little sighs in the process.
