The board was 10♣10♦Q♥4♠5♣ and Garrett made it 15,000 on the river into a pot of about 19,500. Valdes called and Garret showed A♦10♠ for trip tens with an ace kicker.
Valdes muttered to himself, visibly disappointed, and showed the table J♣10♥ for trips with a worse kicker. The pot of 54,000 chips went to Garrett, who now sits on a comfortable stack of 125 big blinds.
Jianfeng Sun all the way from Bejing found himself in a big pot when the player in the cutoff raised to 1,800. Sun was on the button and put in a three-bet to 6,100 and received a call.
The flop was 2♦2♠10♥ and the player in the cutoff check-raised to 7,500 when Sun placed the flop bet of 3,200. Sun called.
"All in", was announced by the player in the cutoff on the turn J♦ and Sun quickly made the call with the bigger stack.
