Day 2’s field was full of star power, including two Poker Hall of Famers in Erik Seidel and John Juanda, who made the money, but Juanda won’t advance to Day 3 after busting shortly before the end of Level 20.

The advancing field also boasted multiple WSOP bracelet winners in Brian Rast, Corey Thompson, Sam Soverel, Ivan Deyra, Alexandre Reard and Darius Samual, among others. Each in the group seeks another event championship, and with it, the coveted gold bracelet.

But the path to victory won’t be easy to navigate, as players such as Hart and even Aaron Thomas, who began the day with 42,500 before bagging 1,000,000, provide obstacles to every player in the field.

Players will have a 15-minute break every two levels, with a 60-minute dinner break after Level 26. The participants are scheduled to play down to the final five players and then reconvene for Day 4 on Friday.

Follow along as PokerNews continues to provide live updates throughout Day 3.

Jake Schwartz
Jake Schwartz

Adam Hendrix raised from early position to 30,000 and was called by both Jake Schwartz and Moshe Refaelowitz in the blinds.

A flop of 889 saw Schwartz and Refaelowitz both check, and Hendrix bet 30,000. Schwartz made the call before Refaelowitz raised to 105,000. Hendrix and Schwartz both called.

The Q came on the turn and after Schwartz checked, Refaelowitz bet 100,000. Hendrix folded, but Schwartz shoved all in for around 315,000. Refaelowitz called.

Jake Schwartz: J9 All in
Moshe Refaelowitz: Q9x

Schwartz was drawing slim and although he improved on the J river, it wasn't enough to win him the pot.

Silver Backdoors Diamonds and Breaks 1,000,000 Chips

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Nate Silver
Nate Silver

Three players were all in preflop in a pot that left two of them eliminated.

Alexandre Rabusseau: QQ All in
Aliaksandr Shylko: AK All in
Nate Silver: AQ

Silver was behind but had a chance to eliminate two opponents if he could find a way to win the hand.

The Q39 flop looked favorable for Rabusseau but he had to fade some outs after the K turn gave Silver a flush draw.

That flush draw did come in on the 8 river which meant Silver scooped the pot and knocked out two players at the same time.

Stausholm Bubbles in Brutal Fashion at the Hands of Keating

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Martin Stausholm
Martin Stausholm

The action folded all the way around to Alex Keating in the small blind who shoved all in, and Martin Stausholm called of his last 4,000 chips which put him at risk of being the bubble boy.

Martin Stausholm: Q6 All in
Alex Keating: 107

The players had to wait for the hands at the other tables to finsih, and once they did the dealer was instructed to deal a flop.

Stausholm flopped a flush on the 357 board and felt relieved at what he saw.

"And the short-stacked player will double-up," said the tournament director over the microphone.

"No, he still has outs," could be heard from somebody on the rail.

Indeed, Keating did still a chance to win the hand and those chances increased when the 10 hit the turn, which improved him to two pair.

A full house is what Keating needed to burst the bubble and that's exactly what he got as the 7 fell on the river, which shocked the entire Horseshoe Grand Ballroom.
