The big blind had hit two pair on the flop, but Maksoud had both straight draw and runner-runner flush draw outs.

The 9♠ turn gave Maksoud the needed straight to catapult him back into being the favorite and the big blind couldn't find a way back on the 2♠ river to save him from being eliminated.

One player on the table remarked to Maksoud after the hand, "You are gambling too, huh?"
