Michael Balan raised from the cutoff and was three-bet by Ryutaro Suzuki in the small blind. Matthew Schultz called cold in the big blind and Balan made it four bets to go. Undeterred, Suzuki announced a cap of five bets and both Schultz and Balan called.

Suzuki drew one, Schultz drew two, and Balan drew one on the first draw. Suzuki bet, Schultz called, and Balan went all in for 1,000 more. Suzuki and Balan both called.

Suzuki stood pat on the second draw, Schultz drew one, and Balan also stood pat. Schultz then called a bet from Suzuki.

On the final draw, Suzuki and Balan remained pat and Schultz drew one again. Suzuki bet a final time, which got a fold from Schultz.

Suzuki tabled 7x6x4x3x2x for number two, which was best against Balan’s 8x5x4x3x2x for the knockout.
