Racener Drops an Early Pot to Bruschi

John Racener had only just taken his seat in the tournament when he bet from the button on the first draw and Renan Bruschi called in the big blind.

Bruschi drew one and Racener two. Bruschi then bet and Racener called.

Bruschi stood pat and Racener took one more on the last draw. Bruschi bet again and Racener quickly folded as Bruschi flashed 8x5x3x while taking in the pot.

In addition to Racener, John Monnette, Bryce Yockey, and Josh Arieh have recently joined the field.

After the first draw Glaser checked, Mirzikinian bet and both Brunson and Glaser called. Once again Mirzikinian drew one while Glaser and Brunson each drew two.

Glaser checked after the second draw, Mirzikinian bet, Brunson folded and Glaser called, drawing two while Mirzikinian stood pat.

"Jesse, you're playing with fire now," Chino Rheem said as he called in the big blind. Lonis drew one and Rheem took three.

Lonis then bet and Rheem called. Lonis drew one and Rheem two this time. Lonis led out with another bet, Rheem raised, and Lonis reraised.

Rheem called and both players stood pat. Lonis bet again and Rheem called.

Lonis showed 7x6x5x4x2x, while Rheem showed the same hand and they split the pot.

"Same hand? No raise?" wondered tablemate Bin Weng.

"It's Jesse's first time playing this tournament. When he raises you better know how to count to seven," Rheem replied.
