button in SafariMateos Pumps Up the Turn
Level 17
: Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Action picked up with Adrian Mateos on the button and involved in a hand against a player in the big blind and a player in early position.
The board showed Q♣8♣2♣7♣, which the player in the big blind checked. The player in early position bet 18,000, putting action on Mateos.
Mateos took his time, shooting a glance at the player in the big blind before focusing on the player who just bet.
The four-time WSOP bracelet winner then announced a raise with a 45,000 bet, resulting in the player in the big blind immediately folding. The player in early position, however, took a few moments to alternate glances at the board and Mateos before eventually folding.
