Willams was risk, and Reed was ahead with his pair of nines. After fourth street Willams did have an open-ended straight draw, but his draw bricked out, and was left with just a a pair of eights. Reed improved to nines and fives for two pair, and eliminated Willams from the tournament.

Viveros Shows Rhodes a Monster

Duke Viveros raised on the button and was called by Trevor Rhodes in the small blind and Michael Ma in the big blind.

Action checked to Viveros on the 42J flop and he continued for a bet. Rhodes raised, Ma folded, and Viveros made it three bets to go. Rhodes called.

Rhodes then check-called bets from Viveros on the A turn and 2 river and Viveros tabled 44 for a flopped set of fours that turn into a full house by the river. Rhodes couldn’t beat it and mucked — awarding the pot to Viveros.

When action folded to Marco Johnson in middle position he raised, before being three-bet by Shaun Deeb in the hijack. It folded back to Johnson, who made the call.

The flop came 578 and Johnson check-called the bet from Deeb.

On the turn was the 6 and Johnson check-raised the bet from Deeb this time, which Deeb called.

Both players checked to showdown after the 3 completed the board.

Johnson showed down AJ and Deeb mucked his hand, giving the pot to Johnson with ace high.
