A Little for Blom

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 0 ante
Viktor Blom
Viktor Blom

Viktor Blom's start in this tournament could be described as rocky, to say the least, but the Swedish online phenom was able to chip back up a bit in a recent hand.

After raising preflop, Justin Jones called from the small blind to see an AKQ flop appear. Jones then check-called a bet from Blom. The 3 on the turn got checked by both players.

Jones bet the 2 on the river and Blom called. Jones tabled AQ97 for aces and queens, but Blom had him pipped with AK94 to take the pot.

Campbell Gets a Quarter

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 0 ante

Jason Daly raised in middle position, Robert Campbell made it three bets on the button, Brian Majcher called in the big blind and Daly came along as well.

Campbell stuck another bet in on the 1088 flop and received two callers. The players then checked it down on the 4 turn and 5 river.

Campbell fanned out AK97 for ace-high and an eighty-seven low and Daly mucked. Majcher revealed A1075 for the same low and a pair of tens to leave just a quarter for the 2019 WSOP Player of the Year.

Mantel Takes From Matusow

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 0 ante

Mike Matusow had just taken his seat in the tournament when he found himself tangled in a hand with Ariel Mantel.

Action was picked up on the flop in a pot between Mantel in the big blind and Matusow in the hijack. The flop read 9KJ and both players checked to the 2 turn that saw Mantel check to Matusow who bet and Mantel called.

On the river 10 Mantel took the betting lead and Matusow called asking "Flush?"

Mantel nodded and turned over JJ53 for a flush. Matusow nodded and flashed 75 for an inferior flush as he mucked his hand, ceding the pot to Mantel.

Action was picked up on the flop between Dragana Mackelprang on the button, Rylen Sanehisa in the small blind, and Scott Bohlman in the big blind.

Action checked around on the flop 672 to Mackelprang who bet and both players called.

Sanehisa checked on the turn Q with Bohlman checking behind him and Mackelprang bet. Sanehisa raised, which both Bohlman and Mackelprang called.

On the river K, Sanehisa bet which Bohlman responded to by raising, prompting a call from both Mackelprang and Sanehisa.

Bohlman turned over QQ89 for a set of queens while Sanehisa turned over 5322 for an inferior set of twos with a seven-six low. Mackelprang took one look back at her hand of A766 for an inferior set of sixes before mucking and Bohlman and Sanehisa chopped up the pot.
