Mark Bramley raised it up from the cutoff to 1,500,000 and Luke Graham smooth called from the big blind. The flop came out with 10♥10♣9♥ and Graham checked and Bramley bet out 2,000,000. Graham made the call.
Both players checked the turn Q♦.
On the river 3♠ Graham took the lead and bet out 3,600,000 and Bramley turned his cards face up in disgust that he didn't hit any of his outs with A♥8♥.
Life Outside Poker is a new podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.
In the eighth episode, Connor speaks with legendary UFC ring announcer Bruce Buffer in an exclusive in-depth interview after Buffer's deep run in the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) $50,000 High Roller. Buffer, a longtime poker player, finished in eighth place for a career-best $212,423 after kicking off Day 3 with his trademark "it's time" introduction.
Buffer talked about finding his long-lost half-brother, Michael Buffer, and becoming his manager, the early days of the UFC, the similarities between poker and martial arts, his relationships with Joe Rogan and Dana White, playing poker with Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio and the time he injured himself in a poker tournament before announcing the biggest UFC fight in history.
Khang Pham limped in middle position and Renmei Liu called from the cutoff, Randy Levin called from the small blind and Marc Wolpert checked in the big blind. The flop came out with 9♥4♠J♦. Wolpert announced, "Check to the limper" and everyone checked.
On the turn Q♣ everyone checked to Liu who moved all in for 3,800,000 and Levin with a few more chips quickly called.
Both players announced, "Straight" but it was Liu who held the better straight.
Renmei Liu: K♠10♣
Randy Levin: 10♥8♦
The river 8♥ was irrelevant and Liu scored a big pot which left Levin descimated.
Randy Levin moved all in under the gun for 1,100,000 and was called by Renmei Liu out of the small blind. Mark Bramley then shoved all in for roughly 14,000,000 and Liu folded.
Randy Levin: Q♦9♦
Mark Bramley: K♠9♣
There was no help for Levin on the 10♥4♦7♠10♠8♦ runout, and he was the seventh-place finisher in this event.
Mark Bramley raised to 2,300,000 from the button and Marc Wolpert three-bet to 8,000,000. Wolpert had a massive chip advantage and was utilizing his stack well to put pressure on his opponents but Bramley was having none of that and four-bet all in for 15,200,000. Wolpert made the call and announced, "Good luck".
Mark Bramley: K♣K♦
Marc Wolpert: 5♠5♣
The board ran out with 9♠Q♥2♥8♦7♣ and Bramley secured a nice double up which only took a small dent out of Wolpert.
