Super Senior Eskandari Shocked

Level 13 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Massoud Eskandari, Super Seniors champion from 2022, was on the button and faced a raise from a middle position player to 6,500. Eskandari made the call and everyone else folded. The flop came out K25 and the middle position player placed the continuation-bet of 7,000. Eskandari called.

On the turn K the middle position player checked and Eskandari took the lead and bet 11,500 and received a call.

The river 2 saw another check from the middle position and Eskandari came out with a huge bet of 45,000. The player in middle position took a while to decide and then finally made the call.

Eskandari said, "Wow good call," and tabled 33. The middle position player hesitated and then mucked.

Eskandari exclaimed, "Still good, wow, I thought he had middle pair!"
