Helppi Ascending

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Picking up the action on the flop, Juha Helppi on the button was involved in a hand with a player in the cutoff as well as the big blind.

With the board reading 892 the big blind led out for 6,000. The cutoff called while Helppi, after some consideration, put in a raise to 16,000. That was enough to get the big blind out of the hand but the cutoff moved all in over the top for not much more. Helppi quickly called to put his opponent at risk.

Cutoff Player: A964 All in
Juha Helppi: AK86

Helppi was marginally behind but had a flush draw to go along with his middle pair. That draw came in on the turn with the 3 river confirming the pot and knockout for Helppi.
