LaBranche Gets it Through

A player under the gun raised to 1,300 and when it folded to the big blind Jonah LaBranche in the big blind, he made the call.

The flop came 2210 and both players checked to the turn.

On the turn was the 6 and LaBranche fired out 1,600, which was called by the player under the gun.

The river was the 6 and LaBranche again bet, this time for 9,000. The player under the gun quickly folded face up showing 7x7x to allow LaBranche to take down the pot.

The turn was a third diamond with the 10 coming off. Kalev took quite a while to decide on his action, which he eventually decided to bet 4,000. Foxen jammed all in and Kalev snap-called.

Action folded around to the small blind who raised to 1,800. Daniel Jones three-bet to 6,500 from the big blind and his opponent called.

The small blind led for 7,000 on 7J6 and Jones made the call.

Action went check-check on the 2 turn, before the small blind moved all in for 32,000 effective on the 10 river. Jones snap-called and tabled AA for the winner. The small blind showed 94 before returning his cards to the dealer.

Torre's River Bet Gets Through

Giovani Torre opened the action from middle position with a raise to 1,200. The cutoff called before the big blind three-bet to 6,500. Torre made the call and the cutoff folded.

The big blind continued for 4,300 on a rainbow 10105 flop and Torre made the call.

Action went check-check on the 3 turn before Torre fired 6,000 on the 8 river. The big blind went into the tank but eventually found a fold. Torre chipped up back to above starting stack.

Soma Calls Down with a Set

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Action started with an open from Klaus Lufberg from under the gun. Leo Soma was second to act and called, player in middle position also called.

Flop was J65. Lufberg bet 1,800, Soma called and middle position folded.

The turn came the K. Lufberg now bet big, 11,000. Soma called.

On the river 2, which brought in the backdoor flush, Lufberg opted for the same size, 11,000, and Soma again called. Lufberg turned over 109 and Soma turned over 66 for a flopped set.

Lufberg was left with a stack of under 20 big blinds. A couple of hands later, he found himself all in with JJ against Kevin Andriahefa’s AQ, lost the flip and was eliminated.

The player in middle position made the call, but John Smith went all in for 17,500. Both players made the call to see a river.

The river was the 9 and both players checked down to showdown.

John Smith tabled KQ for a queen high flush while the early position player showed 5x5x and the middle postion player showed 8x8x to give Smith the triple up.
