Yang Zhang limped from the small blind and Matthew McEwan made it 210,000 from the big blind. Zhang called.

On the J♣7♥5♦ flop, both players checked their option.

The 2♣ fell on the turn and Zhang bet 225,000, which McEwan called.

When the 4♠ fell on the river, Zhang fired another bet of 525,000, and McEwan didn't need too much time to think before he called.

Zhang tabled 10♣6♣ for a bluff, but McEwan had the winner with Q♣2♥ for a pair of deuces.

In the first hand back from the break, Lucas Blanco shoved all in for 460,000 from the cutoff, and Jake Schwartz shoved from the small blind.

Blanco had a chance to get his stack back to the million mark but the flop of 7♠K♠J♦ gave Schwartz a set.

The 9♦ turn added some outs but Schwartz improved to quads on the J♥ river, meaning Blanco was out in 18th.

Brandon Schwartz opened to 115,000 from middle position. It folded to the small blind Turbo Nguyen, who put in a three-bet to 325,000. Schwartz then opted to four-bet to 1,100,000, which Nguyen quickly five-bet to put Schwartz all in for 2,915,000. After sitting in the tank, Schwartz decided to make the call, and was at risk in a massive pot.

It was a massive cooler for Schwartz, but when the flop came out Q♥6♦10♦ it was now Schwartz who jumped in front of the aces with a set of queens. The 6♥ turn meant only an ace on the river could eliminate Schwartz, after improving to a full house. The 2♦ on secured Schwartz the double up, and left Nguyen short stacked after the bad beat.

Matthew McEwan opened under the gun to 100,000 and Lucas Blanco three-bet to 250,000 from the cutoff. Yang Zhang was in he big blind and four-bet to 600,000, which got McEwan to fold. Blanco then shoved for 1,060,000 total, and Zhang called.

A great spot for Blanco who took full advantage as the runout of 5♣8♥8♦J♦3♣ earned him a double-up.

A full board of 7♦2♠Q♦10♣4♠ was showing and with around 325,000 chips in the middle, Georgios Sotiropoulos had bet the pot on the river. Ihar Soika had the decision and, according to his tablemates, was taking too long so the clock was called on him.

Once the tournament director started the countdown, Soika shoved all in for 930,000. The action was back on Sotiropoulos, who after spending some time thinking, reluctantly made the call.

Soika tabled Q♥4♥ for a rivered two pair and Sotiropoulos flipped Q♣5♣ then mucked it.

On a flop of K♥10♥9♠, David Coleman had checked to Wagner Ripper, who bet 65,000 into the 200,000-chip pot. Pedro Madeira called, then Coleman shoved all in for 490,000. Ripper folded, but Madeira called.

Coleman had flopped a flush draw and a gutshot but Madeira was in the lead with his two pair.

The A♣ turned changed nothing, and neither did the 8♦ river which meant Coleman was eliminated.
