Chan Doubles Up

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Action picked up with three players involved.

Ying Chan was all in out of the big blind against a late position player who raised to 160,000 preflop and Michael Vela, who was on the button and called the original raise.

After Chan’s all-in bet, the original raiser folded but Vela called to put Chan at risk.

Ying Chan: AJ All in
Michael Vela: 88

Vela’s preflop lead proved brief, as the dealer fanned 6A4 on the board to put Chan ahead.

Chan’s lead strengthened when the 10 appeared on the turn. But the 7 on the turn provided some humor at the table.

“Straight!” Vela exclaimed.

“What?” Chan said as he quickly leaned forward out of his seat to look at the board.

Chan quickly realized the joke as the dealer and the rest of the table laughed. The pot was then pushed to Chan to officially give him the win and a double-up.
