Charles Hook Eliminated in 5th Place ($1,237,296)
Level 23
: Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Chris Hunichen opened to 2,000,000 from the cutoff before Charles Hook jammed for 13,500,000 from the button. Ben Tollerene reshoved from the small blind. Santhosh Suvarna got out of the way in the big blind before Hunichen folded his A♣J♦.
Charles Hook: 10♥10♦
Ben Tollerene: A♠K♥
It was a classic flip and one Hook had the edge on as Hunichen folded an ace to reduce Tollerene's outs.
The 2♦2♥4♦ flop kept the pocket pair ahead, as did the 2♣ turn.
However, the 2♠ river put quad deuces on the board, counterfeiting Hook's pair, sending him to the rail in brutal fashion.
