Phil Hellmuth Eliminated in 15th ($28,463); Noel Rodriguez Eliminated in 16th Place ($23,266)
Level 27
: Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Short-stacked Noel Rodriguez moved all in under-the-gun for 150,000 and action folded around to Phil Hellmuth and Ludovic Geilich in the blinds who both called.
On the flop of 6♦Q♦A♣, Hellmuth led for 175,000 and Geilich responded by moving all in, which Helmuth snap-called to put himself at risk.
Noel Rodriguez: J♦10♥
Phil Hellmuth: Q♣5♣
Ludovic Geilich: 8♦10♦
Hellmuth was in the lead with his pair of queens, but the runout of 7♣2♦ gave Geilich a flush on the river to scoop the pot and eliminate both players. A classic Hellmuth rant then ensued as the defending champ hit the rail in 15th after Rodriguez finished in 16th.
