Kane's Last Ride

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Susan Kane was holding a pair of big red pocket jacks against Eric Holtz, who had her crushed with pocket kings. It appeared Kane would deliver the chokeslam on a jack-high flop, but got burned again on the king turn that swung Holtz back on top.

The case jack remained in the deck on the river to count Kane out from the tournament.

Kerby Cooked

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Former PokerNews live reporter Hill Kerby was making a deep run in the PokerNews Deepstack Championship, but unfortunately for him, his run has come to an end with about 200 players left.

In the small blind, Kerby three-bet shoved 11.5 big blinds with Jx7x after a raise from the cutoff. The cutoff snapped him off with Kx10x and held up to send Kerby to the payout desk.

Hui Busts to Aces

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Loni Hui open-shoved for her last 120,000 and was called by Konstantinos Tsikopoulos.

Loni Hui: J10 All in
Konstantinos Tsikopoulos: AA

The 1094 showed the beginnings of potential safety for Hui, and the 8 meant she was open-ended. However, the K river bricked and she was eliminated.

Kabrhel Eliminated, Table Relieved

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

"Bye! Bye-bye!" said Jugal Daterao jubilantly, while standing and waving to Martin Kabrhel. "Goodbye chip leader! Rebuy line is that way!"

Daterao had just sent Kabrhel to the rail after shoving on his opponent on a 874 flop. Kabrhel had called all in for his tournament life with 109 for straight and flush draws, but was still behind to the A4 of Daterao.

The turn J completed everyone's flush, but Daterao had made the nut flush to eliminate Kabrhel.

"Now we can all relax," said stablemate Phillip Cox, as a subdued Kabrhel headed for the rail.

Clark Triples Through Martin and Holtz

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Sean Martin: KQAll in
Todd Clark: AKAll in
Eric Holtz: A9

The dealer put out an exciting A2K flop which gave Clark top two pair but Holtz a flush draw. The 5 turn and 4 river secured the triple up for Clark and sent Martin to the payout line.

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Action picked up on the river of a JA378 board as the dealer was confirmed Steven Kelly's stack count.

Steven Kelly: Q6All in
Mark Mendoza: AAAll in
Michael Vincent: AQ

The two at risk players were all in and called by Michael Vincent and the board ran out giving Kelly a flush. He wanted the report to underline that his hand was suited.

Moments later Michael Vincent was also seen collecting his payout slip.
