Kerby Cooked

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Former PokerNews live reporter Hill Kerby was making a deep run in the PokerNews Deepstack Championship, but unfortunately for him, his run has come to an end with about 200 players left.

In the small blind, Kerby three-bet shoved 11.5 big blinds with Jx7x after a raise from the cutoff. The cutoff snapped him off with Kx10x and held up to send Kerby to the payout desk.

Mehmood's Aces Hold

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Action picked up when the player in middle position went all in and Omar Mehmood called from late position.

Middle Position: KQAll in
Omar Mehmood: AA

The Q63 flop gave a glimmer of hope but unfortunately the J turn and 8 river were no help to the at risk player and he was eliminated.

Ace on the River

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

In a classic race between pocket tens and ace-jack, a Barry Greenstein-esque Ace (of Spades) on the river ended it for Adrien Guyader against Matias Nieto. At another table, Roy Salter was spotted packing his bags as well.

Unal Wins With Aggression

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Luke Varrasso opened to 40,000 from the small blind and was called by Markus Unal in the big blind. The two players went heads up to a 5A3 flop. Varrasso continued for 40,000 and was called by Unal. Both players checked the 4 turn to the K river. Varrasso checked and Unal bet 30,000. Varrasso considered it briefly before folding.
