Lehr Makes a Good Check-Back

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The action was caught as two players were looking at a board of 6JA10.

Daniel Fuhs, in the big blind, check-called a bet of 80,000 from Keith Lehr, on the button.

The 10 river prompted Fuhs to play in flow. Lehr thought for some time before checking back. Fuhs was first to table, rolling over K5 for a rivered flush; more than good enough to take down this pot.

Graupner Is the Stone Bubble, Fisher Saves the Room from Hand-for-Hand Play

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The pot stood at approximately 90,000 with two players looking at a board of 2993.

Mark Fisher, in the big blind, checked the action to Thomas Graupner, in early position. Graupner bet out 30,000. In response, Fisher applied maximum pressure, moving all in for Graupner's effective stack of approximately 100,000. As the stone bubble loomed, Graupner went deep into the tank, thinking for several minutes.

"It's just money," Graupner said as he flicked in one yellow chip for the call.

Thomas Graupner: JJ All in
Mark Fisher: A9

Graupner was behind Fisher's flopped trips and the 2 river couldn't save him, bursting the stone bubble. The remaining 102 players were now all in the money, without having to navigate the slow process of hand-for-hand play.

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

All four players checked the A23 flop through to the J on the turn. The action checked to Lopes who put out a delayed continuation of 14,000. Both John Thornton, in the cutoff, and the small blind made the call.

The Q river saw the small blind check. Lopes sized up to 45,000 and only Thornton called. Lopes tabled QJ for two pair, while Thornton mucked A7 face up.
