James Chen raised and was called by Kahle Burns in the big blind. On the K♠10♠7♦ flop, Burns check-called for 30,000 and did so again for 80,000 on the 5♥ turn.
After the 5♣ river, Burns checked once more and Chen fired a bet of 275,000.
With Burns tanking for a while, he apologised to the table with the words "sorry guys" to which Chen replied "I understand you".
Bruno Fitoussi also chimed in with a "take as much time as you want" as they were just four away from the money.
Burns folded soon after and Chen added further chips to his large castle.
A completed board of A♣4♣J♠7♣8♠ was in front of Dirk Gerritse and Jim Collopy. Collopy then checked from the big blind and Gerritse put 65,000 into the pot of 120,000.
Collopy made the call but mucked as soon as Gerritse tabled K♥10♦9♠3♣ for a straight to the jack.
Sean Rafael raised the pot to 35,000 with 12,000 behind and then called all-in when Austin Apicella reraised out of the blinds.
Sean Rafael: K♦10♦10♣5♠
Austin Apicella: A♦J♥3♣3♦
The board ran out K♣2♥2♣5♥5♦ and Rafael doubled with fives full of kings.
During the same hand, James Chen check-called a bet by Kahle Burns on the Q♠4♠2♠5♥J♠ river and was shown the 8♦8♣7♠Xx. Chen had that beat with the Q♣9♥6♥4x to drag in yet another pot.
Michael Mizrachi had raised and earned one caller in Eric Wasserson in the hijack. On the 9♦8♣4♠ flop, Mizrachi potted and sent Wasserson into a brief tank.
"I will show if you fold," Mizrachi said and Wasserson replied "no, my hand is too strong for that" before he then pushed forward his stack of 161,000. Mizrachi called and they already exposed the cards before turning them back over to wait for all other tables to finish.
When it was time for the showdown, Mizrachi held the best hand but Wasserson had a ton of equity.
Eric Wasserson: 9♠7♣6♣5♠
Michael Mizrachi: A♦A♣K♠Q♣
The 6♥ turn instantly locked up the double for Wasserson and made the 7♦ river a formality. Action continues with 125 players remaining and 122 will be in the money.
Thomas Zanot checked to Kabeelan Rajamurthy on a board of Q♠4♦4♣3♣. Rajamurthy then bet 150,000 into the pot of around 250,000 and Zanot made the call.
On the subsequent Q♦ river, Zanot checked once more before Rajamurthy risked his entire stack of 460,000 chips.
Zanot spent several minutes in the tank before finding a fold, and the next hand of the bubble was dealt.
On a completed board of 9♣4♠3♦J♦6♦, Adam Lamphere checked and Ferenc Deak bet 100,000. Lamphere tank-called and mucked when he was shown the 9♥7♠6♥5♦ for a straight by Deak.
Noah Bronstein had tossed his final blind in from early position and Marco Witt and Elie Nakache created a sidepot by raising. On a flop of 4♠8♥6♣, Witt check-folded to Nakache's bet, leading to a showdown.
Noah Bronstein: A♦K♦10♣5♠
Elie Nakache: A♠A♥4♦3♠
It was looking bleak for Bronstein, and the 4♣A♣ runout made Nakache a full house to eliminate him.
On another table, Vincent Moscati was also all in for his final few chips against Raj Vohra.
Vincent Moscati: Q♣J♦9♣7♠
Raj Vohra: K♥10♠3♠2♥
The board ran out 7♦3♥5♣3♦3♣, giving quads to his opponent and eliminating Moscati.
With those two eliminations, 123 remained as the $10,000 PLO Championship entered the stone bubble.
Heads-up to the 10♠9♠4♣7♣ turn, Sonny Franco made it 40,000 to go in the small blind and Tobias Locke in the cutoff called. Franco then bet the K♣ river for 30,000 and Locke moved all-in.
While Franco briefly inquired about a count, he didn't make the call and a relieved Locke turned over his A♣K♥Q♠6♠ for just a rivered top pair with the nut flush blocker.
