Joni Jouhkimainen raised to 30,000 on the button and Jared Bleznick called out of the small blind. On a flop of J♦8♦3♠, Bleznick checked and then folded when Jouhkimainen bet 42,000.
One table over, the turn showed A♦J♣2♦6♣ and Yang Wang checked in the small blind. Allan Le bet 85,000 on the button but folded when Yang check-raised the pot to 400,000.
With 300,000 chips in the pot on a board of J♠10♥6♦3♦J♥, both Travis Pearson and John Beauprez were still in the hand. No more chips were put in the pot as the action went check-check on the river, and Beauprez took it down with a full house showing Q♣6♣6♠4♣.
Firas Kashat was already all in preflop for his remaining chips from the small blind against David Eldridge in the hijack and Michael Duek in the cutoff.
Eldridge checked on the Q♠A♥4♦ flop and Duek bet 125,000. Eldridge responded by moving all in and and Duek called to put Eldridge at risk.
Firas Kashat: K♠K♦J♦5♦
David Eldridge: A♦Q♥10♣7♥
Michael Duek: A♣Q♣5♠2♠
Eldridge and Duek had both flopped top two pair, and the J♣9♥ runout meant Duek and Eldridge chopped the pot while Kasaht was eliminated.
Nick Schulman raised pot to 42,000 from early position and Tomer Daniel three-bet the size of the pot to 144,000. Action folded back around to Schulman, who called.
Schulman's remaining 34,000 went into the middle on the 8♠J♠2♦ flop and a showdown was held.
Nick Schulman: A♦Q♣J♣6♦
Tomer Daniel: K♣K♦10♣5♦
The 8♥J♥ runout improved Schulman to trip jacks on the river and he doubled through Daniel.
Following a flop of K♠7♣3♠, Nikolaos Lampropoulos checked out of the big blind and then called a bet worth 25,000 by Shaun Deeb. The K♥ turn was checked and the same applied for the 6♠ river.
Lampropoulos showed the 8♣5♦4♣4♥ for a straight but Deeb won the pot with the J♠9♠8♠5♠ for a flush.
On a flop of 7♥5♣4♣, Nick Schulman made a pot-sized bet of 258,000 into Christian Harder. After a few moments, Harder shoved for 482,000, and Schulman made the call.
Christian Harder: A♦A♣Q♣4♦
Nick Schulman: A♥8♥5♠4♠
Harder had an overpair and the flush draw but was behind to Schulman's flopped two pair. The 9♥ turn changed nothing but Harder improved to a better two pair on the 7♠ river.
During one of the last hands before the break, Allan Le raised to 23,000 and earned two callers including Eric Garma. Ben Yu then jammed for 36,000 and all three opponents called. On the A♥7♠4♠ flop, Le bet 32,000 and Garma was the only caller. The 6♣ turn was checked and Le bet the 2♠ river for 28,000.
Garma called but could not beat Yu's A♠10♣5♦3♠ nor the Q♠8♠8♦4♦ of Le to lose the main and side pot.
