2024 World Series of Poker
Gustavo Kamei jammed his last 6,000,000 in the middle from the small blind and Kyle Case called in the big blind.
Gustavo Kamei: A♣4♦
Kyle Case: K♦Q♦
Kamei was ahead with ace-high as the dealer fanned a flop of 8♦6♦3♥. Case picked up a flush draw to go along with his two live cards and the 9♦ turn gave him the flush as he fist-pumped in the air. The J♦ river was just a formality as Kamei stood up from the table.
At a different table at the same time, Assaf Markus was eliminated in 27th place.
Rahul Jain shoved from the small blind for 5,700,000 and Seungjun Noh called from the big blind.
Rahul Jain: A♦10♦
Seungjun Noh: J♥10♥
Despite flopping a flush draw and turning a straight draw, Noh couldn't eliminate Jain on the 6♥A♥9♠Q♠2♦ runout.
Stefan Jauslin shoved from the button for 1,775,000 and Songtao Bao called from the big blind.
Stefan Jauslin: A♥5♥
Songtao Bao: K♠5♣
Jauslin was ahead and improved to the nuts on the 6♥Q♥4♥ flop which left Bao drawing dead. The meaningless 6♠10♦ filled out the board and Jauslin raked a much-needed pot.
The action folded around to Dean Yoon on the button and he jammed for 4,600,000. Georgios Skarparis was in the big blind and made the call.
Dean Yoon: 8♠7♦
Georgios Skarparis: A♦5♣
The 9♣6♥3♥ flop was favorable for Yoon as he picked up an open-ended straight draw but the 2♥ turn and the 4♠ were bricks as he headed to the payout desk.
Dean Yoon was already all in for a main pot of 2,600,000 on the A♠K♣Q♦K♦10♠ river. Mikhail Zavoloka checked to Georgios Skarparis who fired 3,000,000 into the side pot worth about 4,000,000. Zavoloka took about 45-seconds before mucking his hand.
Skarparis rolled over 8♣8♥ as he pulled in the side pot and Yoon took the main with a straight as he tabled Q♠J♥.
Kyle Case was all in and at risk against Rahul Jain, with the cards on their backs.
Kyle Case: K♥Q♥
Rahul Jain : A♥J♥
Case needed some help and was in bad shape after the 3♦8♥A♣ flop. The J♦ turn left Jain with two pair but brought Case a straight draw.
The table reacted in unison as the 10♣ river completed Broadway for Case, earning the double up.
All of the chips went in the middle before the flop and Marco Bognanni was at risk for his last 750,000 against John Dubeau.
Marco Bognanni: Q♦10♦
John Dubeau: A♣Q♣
Bognanni was dominated and the A♥8♦7♣5♥7♥ run out gave Dubeau two pair to send him to the payout desk.
