Murphy Makes "Nitty" Call
Level 1
: Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Thomas Murphy raised to 500 under the gun before the player in the hijack made it 1,800 to go. Murphy called and the flop of 5♦6♥2♠ was subsequently checked through.
Murphy then bet 2,000 chips on the 10♠ turn and his opponent called. On the 8♣ river, Murphy made a bet of 4,200.
His opponent raised to 12,000 chips. Murphy said, "It might be nitty, but I call," and showed 2♥2♦ for bottom set, beating the K♠K♣ of his opponent.
