Anar Cracks Aces to Get Back to Start

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Seref Anar and his opponent had put in 10,000 chips each preflop when a flop of 967 was dealt. His opponent then shoved all in for 16,100 and Anar snap called with the covering stack.

Opponent: AA All in
Seref Anar: KK

It was looking like Anar would be left with crumbs as the Q came on the river, but the K river saw him hit his two-outer and eliminate his opponent from the Main Event.

Ivey Finds a Call to Score Knockout

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

A player opened to 1,500 in the cutoff and was called by Phil Ivey on the button as well as both blinds.

Action checked to Ivey following the J52 flop and he continued for 3,000. The small blind responded by moving all in for 27,100, forcing two quick folds from the big blind and cutoff. Ivey thought for a while before eventually calling with the covering stack to put his opponent at risk.

Small Blind: KQ All in
Phil Ivey: KJ

Ivey was ahead with his top pair but would need to fade quite a few outs to win the pot. Nothing changed on the 7 turn with the 6 river keeping Ivey's pair best to hand him the knockout.

Fiechter Sends Zhang Home

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

The action was caught on a turn of 7394, where Philipp Fiechter made a bet of 15,000 from the hijack and was called by Yizhe Zhang on the button.

The river brought the 8 and Fiechter instantly moved all in, covering Zhang's stack of 21,200.

Zhang thought about it for a bit before calling off for his tournament life. Fiechter shrugged his shoulders and tabled QQ for a pair of queens, after which Zhang mucked his cards in defeat and left the tournament area.
