There were 4,000 chips in the pot on a flop of 2♥9♥J♥ when Humberto Brenes bet 4,000, and Matt Berkey was the only player to call.
Both checked the 3♦ turn to see the 5♦ fall on the river. Berkey bet 8,500, and Brenes thought for a moment before he called.
Berkey tabled 5♥5♠ for a rivered set, and Brenes flashed a jack to the table then continued to hold onto his cards in disbelief at the fact he had been rivered. Eventually, Brenes mucked but kept staring at his opponent while the pot was pushed in Berkey's direction.
Action was caught on a flop of Q♥J♦2♠, in a hand between Paul Clements, who was under the gun and Mason Hinkle, in early position.
Clements check-called a bet of 3,000 from Hinkle, bringing the 7♦ turn. Clements check-called again, this time for 6,500 and the river landed the 5♣.
Clements checked once more and Hinkle fired out a bet of 10,000, prompting Clements to muck his hand.
At two nearby tables, Dan Heimiller and Dan Sepiol were seen leaving the tournament area, having recently been eliminated.
The under-the-gun player raised to 1,200, Martin Malone flatted in early position, and Nicholas Rigby three-bet shoved all in for 11,300 in late position, putting himself at risk. Under the gun, who covered both of his opponents, reshoved to isolate and Malone made the call, who had 24,600 to start the hand.

The board ran out 9♣7♦Q♠9♦10♥, and Malone scooped both the main and side pots with a full house, queens full of nines.
Another deep run in the Main Event was not in the cards for Rigby this year, who was sent to the rail.
Three players saw the 8♠5♠2♥3♥ turn. Igor Yaroshevskyy was in the small blind and checked to the big blind, who fired 2,200 into the pot of about 8,500. Maurice Hawkins was on the button and raised to 6,500 before Yaroshevskyy checked-raised to 15,000. The big blind quickly folded, but Hawkins stuck around with a call.
The 5♣ landed on the river, and Yaroshevskyy continued for 25,500, putting Hawkins in a tough decision. Hawkins went deep into the tank, taking a little over three minutes as he talked to himself. Eventually, he apologized to the table and mucked his hand.
The player under the gun raised to 1,000, Hua-Wei Lin called in the hijack, and the big blind defended.
The flop fell 2♥K♦2♦ and the action checked to Lin, who fired another 1,000. The big blind called before the player under the gun folded.
The A♠ turn and 8♠ river were checked through. The big blind tabled 6♦5♦, playing the board. Lin showed 10♠9♠ for a better kicker and took down the small pot.

Action was caught on the flop of J♦J♣6♦, in a hand between Mason Hinkle, in the big blind, and Robert Campbell, in the cutoff.
With about 10,000 in the pot, Hinkle bet 3,500, and Campbell called.
Hinkle sized up with a bet of 11,000 on the 6♣ turn, and Campbell gave up his hand.
Action picked up on the turn in a hand between Dan Sepiol in the big blind and the player in early position.
With roughly 5,000 in the pot and the board reading 10♣5♣6♣5♠, Sepiol check-called a bet of 2,500.
The 8♥ river went check-check and Sepiol tabled the winner with 10♦8♠ for two pair, tens and eights.
Jason Koon was seen walking away from the table and wishing his opponents well after running his trips into a full house.
With cards still face up at showdown, Koon had A♣K♣ on a board that read 10♥K♠J♦K♦7♥, falling to his opponent's 10♣10♠.
