Morales Has the Better Kicker

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Ashley "Ash Kardash" Morales was left with a short stack after losing a big pot with pocket queens and picked up some chips just now. She called a raise to 1,100 by the hijack and then called another bet worth 1,500 on the 1022 flop. They checked the 7 turn and 9 river for the hijack to announce ace-five.

Morales had the superior kicker with the AJ to win the pot. "I needed that one," she exclaimed in table chat.

There were 4,000 chips in the pot on a flop of 29J when Humberto Brenes bet 4,000, and Matt Berkey was the only player to call.

Both checked the 3 turn to see the 5 fall on the river. Berkey bet 8,500, and Brenes thought for a moment before he called.

Berkey tabled 55 for a rivered set, and Brenes flashed a jack to the table then continued to hold onto his cards in disbelief at the fact he had been rivered. Eventually, Brenes mucked but kept staring at his opponent while the pot was pushed in Berkey's direction.
