Alcindor Turns Quads to Triple Up

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Alemu Makonen raised to 80,000 from the hijack. Christopher Alcindor three-bet to roughly 300,000 from the small blind and Ryan Hughes cold-called from the big blind. Makonen then four-bet to 1,120,000. Alcindor put in his last 200,000 chips and Hughes made the call as well. The three players went to the flop with Alcindor being all-in.

Hughes checked the A39 flop. Makonen moved all-in for 600,000 and Hughes made the call.

Christopher Alcindor: AAQ7 All in
Alemu Makonen: KK66 All in
Ryan Hughes: QJ108

The turn came the A improving Alcindor to quads and an inconsequential 5 came on the river. Alcindor would triple up with quads, and Makonen won the side pot with a pair of kings.
