Le Takes One From Geilich

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Action was caught on the flop of 2104. Ludovic Geilich bet 6,000 into a pot of 24,000 from the cutoff and Allan Le in the hijack called.

Both players checked the 9 turn.

The river was the 8, bringing in multiple possible backdoor straights. Le checked to Gellic, who made a pot sized bet of 36,000 chips. Le thought for a while and then raised to 85,000 chips. After a few moments, Geilic made the call.

Le turned over KQJ6 for the nut straight, while Geilic showed JJ107 for the second nut straight with two blockers to the nut straight.

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Sonny France
Sonny France

Kyle Bowker opened from the hijack, receiving calls from both the small blind and Sonny Franco, in the big blind.

The J104 flop saw the action check to Bowker, who continued for 14,000. Only Franco called.

The 3 turn saw Franco play in flow. Bowker bet out and Franco quickly raised. Bowker did the same until Franco's effective stack of approximately 105,000 was in the middle.

Kyle Bowker: AAQ8

The river landed the 7; Franco's set of jacks was cracked by the nut flush of Bowker, sending him to the rail as the bubble approached.

Rollercoaster for Leng

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Ryan Leng
Ryan Leng

Hand 1

On a three-way flop of J5J, Thomas Pohnke and Ryan Leng check, a player bets 3,000, Pohnke calls and Leng check-raised to 22,000.

The original raiser quickly got out of the way but Pohnke called, which earned him some side-eye from Leng.

The two players then checked through the 2 turn and went straight to the 9 river.

Pohnke checked, Leng bet 20,000, and Pohnke check-raised to 80,000. Leng shook his head but quickly called, only to be shown the stone-cold nuts KJ94. Leng was visibly frustrated and tossed in his cards while the substantial pot was shipped to Pohnke.

Hand 2

On a three-way turn of 7529, a player bet 6,000 and was immediately raised to 40,000 by another player, Leng cold-called, and the original raiser folded.

The river came the 7 and Leng le-jammed, covering his opponent who went into the tank. After almost a full minute, the player made the call for his tournament life.

"Full house," Leng announced and flipped over K1097 for sevens full of nines.

His opponent was in utter disbelief and looked at his cards one more time before he crumpled them in his hand (enough to call for a new setup) and threw them on the table, showing AJ86 for the turned straight.

Rheem Eliminated

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

Chino Rheem went from table chip leader and one of the bigger stacks in the tournament with almost 200 big blinds to a short stack in a span of about 20-30 minutes.

On Rheem's last hand, Dongwuk Moon raised Rheem’s big blind to 7,000 from the cutoff. Rheem raised pot, which was for most of his chips. Rheem asked Moon to go all in with him, and with Rheem having under 30,000 chips total, Moon obliged. He put Rheem all in and Rheem called.

Chino Rheem: 9976All in
Dongwuk Moon: A854

Rheem was happy that his opponent had only one overcard, and the flop 2Q2 still looked good for him.

However, the turn brought the A, giving Moon a pair of aces and Rheem was all of a sudden drawing very thin. The river was the 10 and Rheem was off to the rail.
