Zaki Chips Up With Two Knockouts Back to Back

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

On the first of two big pots, Justin Zaki was on the button and three-bet an open from Brett Murray in the hijack. Murray four-bet all in for around 3,000,00 chips and Zaki called.

Brett Murray: AKAll in
Justin Zaki: AA

Aces held on 910894 to knockout Murray and send a big pot Zaki’s way.

The very next hand, Zaki raised from the cutoff and faced an almost-all-in from Frank Lin in the small blind. Lin made it 1,815,000 and when action came back to Zaki, he called and flipped over 22, unaware that Lin still has a 100,000 chip behind.

The dealer dealt out 1038 and Lin took his time to try to catch the payout jump. Zaki asked Lin to tell him who was ahead, but Lin refused, jokingly pointing to the remaining chip he was playing for. After the clock ran out, he checked and Zaki put him all in. The waiting game repeated and after the clock ran out the second time, Lin called, flipping over KQ.

The turn and river were J and 5, no help to Lin and he was out.

Ilija Savevski

Ilija Savevski opened 400,000 under the gun and Michael McNeil jammed for 2,900,000 on the button. Mike Allis was in the small blind and called off his last 725,000, and Savevski made the call.

Mike Allis: 97 All in
Michael McNeil: AJ All in
Ilija Savevski: AQ

Allis confidently yelled, "I'm going to win this!"

But, unfortunately for him the 64238 runout meant Savevski eliminated both him and McNeil from the tournament.

Bystrovzorov Busted Out

Level 29 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
