Michael Rocco

In what was intended to be a conversation about a slew of near misses over his career, Michael Rocco flipped the script when he revealed that the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) would be his last full series for many years.

And the reason why he'll be reducing his volume at the tables may come as a bit of a shock.

During a break in Event #94: $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em Championship, he told PokerNews that he has acquired a farm in the last year, and intends to shift his focus to that venture over his card-playing exploits.

Chang Outkicks Pihela in Trips Versus Trips

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Action was caught on the flop of KK4. Chang bet 275,000 into a pot of around 1,500,000 from the cutoff and Pihela called in the big blind.

The turn was the 9. Pihela checked and Chang put a stack of blues in the middle for around 2,000,000. Without thinking for too long, Pihela declared all in, which was for just under 4,000,000 total. Chang called and had Pihela covered.

Igor Pihela: K6All in
Taowei Chang: AK

Both players flopped trip kings, but Chang’s kicker played. There were some chop outs for Pihela and three sixes for the win, but the river was the 7 and Pihela was eliminated.
