Craig Mason Bags Up Monster Stack as Mystery Millions Breaks Attendance Record
Everyone knew that Day 1e, the final starting flight, of Event #1: $1,000 Mystery Millions No-Limit Hold'em was going to be popular, but we don't think anyone expected 8,118 players to buy in at the Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas. Add together the entrants from the other four flights, and the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) edition of this event is the biggest of all time, with 19,654 entries!
Only 451 of the 8,118 Day 1e starters made it through to Day 2, and nobody bagged more chips than Craig Mason. The New Yorker built a massive stack of 7,552,000 and will go into Day 2 with the overall chip lead. Mauricio Solano finished second in chips on Day 1e with 6,400,000. That sizeable stack places Solano second overall.
Two-time bracelet winner Mark Seif rounded off the final flight's podium, bagging a most respectable 2,880,000 chips.
