Nikolay Ponomarev strolled up to the stage knowing he had secured at least $25,000. Although, there were still two bigger bounties in play, the $50,000 and $500,000, but only one of each remained.

Ponomarev dug deep and pulled out the 38th gold chest envelope, tore open the seal, and then slowly revealed the $500,000 for the audience to see. Everybody else knew before he did, and eventually Ponomarev took a peek at the paper to see that he was half a million richer!
