Patrick Kennedy Eliminated in 5th Place ($170,036)

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Patrick Kennedy
Patrick Kennedy

Patrick Kennedy is our first causality of the day. In this hand, Kennedy limped in from the small blind. Yosef Fox was in the big blind, and he moved all in. Kennedy snap called.

Yosef Fox: JJ

The flop brought the spicy QJ10, so Fox had the lead with his three jacks, but Kennedy had a royal flush draw. The 8 and Q were not what he needed to survive this all in, and finished in fifth place.

The two players had struck up some camaraderie from playing together over the last two days, and that showed as Kennedy exited. "I hope it's the $250,000 for you", he told Fox.

We're still waiting for the bounty to be drawn, and the clock is paused as tournament staff tries to fix a problem with the bounty drawing technology.

Another Monster for Fox

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Richard Green opened to 450,000 at the hijack and Patrick Kennedy three-bet to 1,200,000 on the button. Yosef Fox then four-bet jammed a stack of around 8,000,000 from the small blind and Green quickly folded.

Kennedy then folded AQ face-up, leading Fox to show the goods with KK.

Kennedy Squeezes from Small Blind

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Richard Green raised to 450,000 from the cutoff. Alejandro Peinado from the button. Patrick Kennedy then decided to move all in from the small blind.

Green thought for a while before eventually folding. Peinado was quicker to give up his hand, and Kennedy picked up a nice pot.

Alejandro Peinado opened to 400,000 in the cutoff and Yosef Fox went in the tank in the small blind before three-betting to 1,200,000. Peinado quickly folded and Richard Green guessed that Fox had "ladies."

"Ladies!" Fox yelled as he showed QQ.

"The ladies love him," said Green.

Welcome back to the PokerNews coverage of Event #11: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Mystery Bounty at the 2025 World Series of Poker, held at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.

Play began with 130 players, and also 130 bounties. 93 players made the money, and the bubble burst when two-time bracelet winner Santhosh Suvarna was eliminated.

Any mystery bounty tournament always has the side element of who will draw the biggest bounty. In this tournament, the largest bounty is worth $250,000. That bounty still hasn't been opened, and creates an interesting dynamic for today's final table. With five players remaining in the tournament, this bounty awards more than fourth place money.

We did see three $100,000 get pulled yesterday. The players that hit those were Frank Brannan, Myles Mullaly and Michael Moncek.

Here how things stand heading into today's final table:

James Mendoza has the lead in chips, as he did for much of the latter stages of play last night. He's looking for his first WSOP bracelet, and had mentioned that he and his wife are expecting a child in October.

"If you hit the bounty, you have to name that kid 'Bounty'," joked Richard Green at the final table last night. This played into the overall light-hearted mood at this final table, where the players are happy to joke around and have fun. It serves as a good reminder that even when playing for a lot of money, poker is supposed to be a fun game.

In addition to that $250,000 bounty, there's also a $50,000 bounty chest still to be opened. Here's what's left to be played for in terms of payouts:

Play resumes at 12:00 PM local time here in Las Vegas at the Horseshoe Event Center. The blinds will begin at 125,000/250,000/250,000. Be sure to stay locked in to PokerNews for coverage of this final table to see who claims the bounty, the bracelet, and the top prize.
