A Clock, a Warning & the Ace of Spades

Level 9 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Romain Lewis
Romain Lewis

Romain Lewis and Maksim Pisarenko played a lengthy hand that saw the two getting to the river on a board of 8J105K.

Lewis bet 22,500 on the river and Maksim Pisarenko jammed a stack of around 63,000 to send the Winamax pro deep into the tank.

"This tournament is too hard! I flopped a set. You look like a nice guy," Lewis said as Pisarenko put his head down on the table.

The two engaged in back-and-forth banter for over a minute and the clock was eventually called. Pisarenko then said something in French to Lewis, prompting the floor to warn the table about the English-only rule.

The clock ticked on and Lewis let his hand die before showing 1010. Pisarenko showed one card and it was the A, leaving the table to guess whether or not he had it.

"Nice bluff!" said Jon Kyte.
