Wild Action Sees Seiver Bust Twice in Three Hands
Tal Avivi, who recounted the early action for this hand, opened from under the gun. Scott Seiver called from the cutoff and Leonardo Rizzo shoved, covering both players by a wide margin. Avivi called with his stack of roughly 20,000 and Seiver, who had started the hand with just over 40,000, also called and was at risk. Avivi stood pat while Seiver and Rizzo each took one.
Tal Avivi: Jx10x9x7x5x
Scott Seiver: 9x7x6x2x
Leonardo Rizzo: 7x5x4x3x
Seiver was drawing to a nine, but made a pair after catching 7x. Rizzo was drawing to a wheel but caught Kx. Avivi's pat jack-ten was still good at showdown and he tripled up, while Rizzo was good for the side pot with a king-low. Seiver was eliminated but immediately rebought and drew the same table.
Seiver shoved from under the gun for 25,000 the next hand and Chance Kornuth, seated directly to his left, called off with his stack of roughly 18,000. Seiver drew one while Kornuth stood pat.
Chance Kornuth: Jx7x6x4x3x
Scott Seiver: 10x5x4x3x
Seiver was drawing to a ten-low but drew Kx. Kornuth's pat-jack was good at showdown and he doubled up while Seiver was left with just 7,000. One hand later, Seiver got his last chips in against Avivi, who drew one while Seiver drew two.
Scott Seiver: 7x6x2x
Tal Avivi: 9x7x6x2x
Avivi drew a queen while Seiver picked up 6x2x to make two pair, resulting in his second elimination over the span of three hands. Seiver rebought again, and although Kornuth was calling for him to get put on Table 292 for a third time, Seiver finally was moved to another table for his third bullet.
