Han Liu finished the night with the chip lead after bagging 711,000. Liu is most closely followed by Brian Yoon who bagged 588,000, while Oliver Vereschagin rounds out the top three with 435,000.

The event attracted a star-studded field of both mixed game players and big bet specialists. Scott Seiver, Huck Seed and Chance Kornuth all shared a table during the early parts of the day and weren’t shy getting the chips in. Although all three players had momentum early on, only Seed managed to advance to Day 2 with 180,000, just outside the top ten chip stacks.
After 45 minutes of hand-for-hand play John Capitano was the unfortunate soul to be eliminated on the stone bubble at the very end of the night. Captiano was forced all in from the big blind and was sent to the rail after drawing into a pair of eights against Grant Oen’s ten-low.
More notable players to find a bag and advance to Day 2 include Phil Hellmuth (166,000), Ryan Depaulo (150,000), Barry Greenstein (126,000), and John Monnette (23,000). Others who played today but weren’t fortunate enough to bag include Greg Raymer, Jennifer Harman, John Hennigan, Mike Gorodinsky, Ryan Leng, Max Pescatori, Chance Kornuth, Shaun Deeb, Patrick Leonard, and defending champion David Funkhouser.
Play picks up tomorrow, June 2, at 1:00 p.m. local time at Level 16, featuring blinds of 3,000/6,000 and a 9,000 big blind ante. The plan is to play until five players remain.

John Capitano was automatically all in from the big blind for 3,500. Grant Oen then limped in on the button, and Stephen Moreschi completed his small blind. Moreschi drew three cards, Capitano drew two, and Oen stood pat.
Once it was time for showdown, Moreschi quickly flashed ace-king low before Oen tabled 10x8x6x5x3x for a ten-low. Capitano had 8x3x2x, but turned over an 8x as his first drawn card, leaving him drawing dead.
He said his goodbyes in 81st place as he turned over his remaining 7x, with the 80 remaining players all being in the money.

Lok Chan opened to 12,500 from under the gun and was called by Veerachai Vongxaiburana on the button and Sean Yu in the big blind. All three players drew one.
Chan shoved with a covering stack after the draw. Vongxaiburana had around 95,000 and called. Sean Yu, who had 77,500, went deep into the tank before calling as well.
Chan was bluffing with Qx10x8x5x3x. Yu had an eighty-six with 8x6x5x3x2x for the best hand to secure a massive triple up on the stone bubble. Vongxaiburana was good with 9x7x6x3x2x to take the side pot.
